Chinese tradition painting is highly regarded for it theory, expression, and techniques with no restrain by reality, they are meant to convey not only the appearance of the object, but to express how the artist looks at it. As the result, Chinese artists disregard the limitations of proportion, perspective and light, they do not paint just the objects as they appear but the essence of the objects as the result of the artist’s long term observation and the understanding of the objects. In the modern days, when East meets the West, Chinese painting is evolving like everything else. Hopefully, we can still retain the Chinese culture in it. |
